Layering kids clothes for in between seasons

There’s a well-known phrase that every Scandinavian parent wields on a regular basis: ‘There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing’. And they're right. For those days where we see four seasons in the space of 24 hours, or as summer starts coming to an end and autumn begins to remind us that she’s just around the corner, clever layering is the way forward. Adding a cardigan or sweater on top, or popping on a light layer underneath will mean your little fairies and princes can keep enjoying the outdoors for longer.
The great thing about layering Scandinavian childrenswear is that they use natural breathable fabrics such as soft organic cotton. This means kids can wear a couple of layers without overheating and still have the comfort and freedom of movement to run, jump and play. And the timeless, classic style from our favourite brands can be easily mixed and matched.
Check out our edit of great layering options that are light for holiday luggage, easy to pack in a bag, or quick to whip on and off as the temperature changes.
